purpose and intended audience for this information;
distinguishes between critical, relevant, published
sources and subjective, irrelevant or misleading, and
unpublished sources; uses both traditional and on-line
resources, summarizes information, records direct
quotations accurately, and cites sources both internally
and in a reference section; understands the idea of
ownership and the rules governing plagiarism.
